Tomme du Catogne is a traditional cheese from the Orsières dairy. It is a soft cheese with a bloomy rind.

Its name comes from the mountain at the foot of which the Orsières dairy stands: Catogne, the emblematic mountain of the Lower Valais, which looks like a volcano from afar and can be seen from Vevey, for example.
