The old Chenalette chairlift was inaugurated on July 6th 1954. It reached an altitude of almost 2800 meters (considered at the time to be the highest in the world).

From 1954 to 1986, many guests and tourists reached the Chenalette in less than eight minutes. A magnificent view on the Mont-Blanc and the surrounding mountains was offered to their eyes.
