Directions

From La Fouly, it is possible to reach Ferret by car, bus or on foot, passing on the left bank of the Dranse or on the right bank via the Alpage de La Fouly. From the hamlet of Ferret, follow the aslphalted road that crosses the forest to the Ars mountain pasture, then the earthen farm road that goes up and joins after a few hairpins the Plan-La-Chaux mountain pasture. In front of the mountain pasture, take the path on the left in the direction of the Lacs de FenĂȘtre. After about 1h15 from Plan-La-Chaux, you will reach the first of the 3 Lacs FenĂȘtre (2467 meters). Pass between the lakes and continue on to FenĂȘtre de Ferret (2698 metres) – Italian-Swiss border – then go down towards the pass road. Cross this road to the east to join the route du Tour du Saint-Bernard and the Via Francigena. Follow this path up to the Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard (2469 metres) where your hike ends. This hike can also be done in the opposite direction.

With your PASS Saint-Bernard, you can visit the kennel and the museum and then take the bus back to La Fouly/Ferret!
