La Fouly cross country track

Orsières

This ten kilometre trail takes in the north and south sides of La Fouly resort, as well as the splendid A Neuve plateau at the foot of the eponymous glacier.

Start out on the A Neuve plateau from the left bank of the Dranse, opposite the center of the resort of La Fouly and with a very little change in altitude making it an ideal place to begin cross-country skiing, or choose to head south along the Dranse towards Ferret, the last village in the valley, which in summer is the gateway to many mountain pastures. Back on the A Neuve plateau, continue north to reach one of the smallest and most beautiful hamlets in the Val Ferret: l’Amône and its splendid slab of the same name, renowned in the climbing world during the summer months.
