The Champlong mountain pasture lies on the left bank of the Dranse, opposite and to the west of the village of Bourg-Saint-Pierre.
The former stable of “Champlong-du-milieu” rises to an altitude of 1,955 meters. This building, which was no longer useful for the rational exploitation of the alpine pasture, was renovated in 2017.
It can only be reached on foot. Although it is not on the list of marked trails or known tours that could guide walkers to it, the gîte is nevertheless accessible to all. Families with young children are welcome. From Liddes, you will have to walk about 2h30 from the Pallazuit factory, take the road towards Niord and finally head towards Les Arpalles (follow the GITE arrows). Due to a landslide, access via Bourg-Saint-Pierre is no longer possible!
We offer drinks and a small restaurant (local products). It is also possible to sleep on the spot (dormitory of 20 beds) on reservation.
The gîte is only open during the summer!
