A stopover on the Tour des Combins, the Tour du Saint-Bernard and the Chamonix-Zermatt summer high-route, the hut is perched at an altitude of 2,473 metres above sea level in the commune of Liddes, at the foot of Mont Rogneux.
The Cabane de Mille is situated on a magnificent balcony overlooking the Valais Alps and the Mont Blanc massif.
With a capacity of 55, the two-storey hut is clad in a metal shell that can withstand the climatic conditions at altitude. To ensure energy supply, the roof is fitted with photovoltaic and thermal solar panels.
In addition to the service rooms and the areas reserved for the wardens, the hut has 7 dormitories: 5 to 8 places, 1 to 5 places and 1 to 10 places, as well as comfortable sanitary facilities.
