The Club Alpin Champex-Lac has always been a well-known establishment for hikers, particularly those doing the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Haute Route. On the current site of the hotel pieds dans l’eau, there used to be a restaurant and dormitories. The new Club Alpin retained its name and noble materials before completely revamping it to make way for the current building.
