Train Martigny-Châtelard

Martigny

50% on the Martigny-Châtelard line, adults only.

Since 20 August 1906, the Martigny-Châtelard (MC), renamed Mont-Blanc Express in 1991, has linked the Rhône plain to Mont-Blanc, Martigny and Chamonix. After crossing a 20% cogwheel railway between Vernayaz and Salvan, passengers discover the spectacular Trient valley, with its vertiginous peaks and typical Alpine villages steeped in history: Les Marécottes, Finhaut and Vallorcine.

This tourist and international metre-gauge line is also an essential means of transport for the inhabitants of the Trient valley, the only valley in the Valais not to be linked entirely by road.

Not valid with other offers and season tickets.
