Very beautiful and varied circuit which starts from a pretty plateau, runs alongside a river and crosses a typical hamlet.
Best period to go there
You can eat before or after your hike at the Grand-Saint-Bernard hotel-restaurant opposite the tourist office.
From the Tourist Office, follow the cross-country ski run to the north-west before descending and coming back south, still on the right bank of the Dranse. In the village of Dranse, cross the bridge and then the hamlet to the south before continuing to the Pallazuit water intake. Go back down towards the north, past the football ground and then follow the cantonal road before continuing along the same route as on the outward journey.
Leave the motorway at Martigny.
Follow the direction Grand-Saint-Bernard to Liddes.
Free parking places next to the school centre
Take the train to Orsières then the bus to Liddes.
