Very beautiful and varied circuit which starts from a pretty plateau, runs alongside a river and crosses a typical hamlet.
This beautiful, varied route starts on a pleasant plateau at the northern entrance to the village of Liddes. It then follows the banks of the River Dranse through the typical hamlet of the same name, before looping back to the Palasuit hydroelectric power station.

You can eat before or after your hike at the Grand-Saint-Bernard hotel-restaurant opposite the tourist office.
Directions
From the Tourist Office, follow the cross-country ski run to the north-west before descending and coming back south, still on the right bank of the Dranse. In the village of Dranse, cross the bridge and then the hamlet to the south before continuing to the Pallazuit water intake. Go back down towards the north, past the football ground and then follow the cantonal road before continuing along the same route as on the outward journey.
Getting there
Leave the motorway at Martigny.
Follow the direction Grand-Saint-Bernard to Liddes.
Free parking places next to the school centre
Take the train to Orsières then the bus to Liddes.
