Possibility to take the Col de la Breya to avoid the round trip on the same path. This variant is more demanding.Â
Directions
From the top of the chairlift, take the path that runs along the slope, it is a bit aerial on the first section. Then pass near the moraine of the Glacier up to the Orny hut. Variant: Possibility to extend the walk by reaching the Trient hut: 2 hours more round trip.
Getting there
Exit the motorway at Martigny.
Follow the direction Grand-Saint-Bernard then leave the main road at Orsières and follow Champex-Lac.
It is also possible to leave the main road at Bovernier and go through Les Valettes but the road is narrow and very winding.
Park at the bottom of the slopes for free.
Take the train to Orsières and then the bus to Champex-télé.
