L’avis de notre ambassadeur Jules-Henri Gabioud:
“Ce parcours n’est pas trop long mais alterne partie plus roulantes et raides. Vous allez emprunter une petite partie du tracé de l’UTMB jusqu’à Champex sur un beau sentier forestier. En arrivant à la station, je vous conseille le petit détour au lac pour une photo avant de revenir quelques mètres sur vos pas. La descente sur Orsières est directe et bien rapide sur un ancien chemin de diligence.”
Directions
From Orsières station, cross and follow the railway line and then follow the direction of Chez-les-Reuses and Champex-Lac. Don’t hesitate to go and have a look at the lake. The descent is on the Tour du Mont-Blanc route to the chalet de l’Affe. Then take the route du Niolet as far as Prassurny and return to Orsières by the road to St-Nicolas.
Getting there
Exit the motorway at Martigny.
Follow the direction Grand-Saint-Bernard then exit at Orsières.
Free parking at the train station or 100 meters before on the left.
Take the train to Orsières
