Francigena Way

The Via Francigena is an itinerary in 79 stages, about 1800 km long, starting in Canterbury, England and ending in Rome. The Italian section starts at the Great St. Bernard Pass and develops in 45 stages.

The Italian route runs along the country through 7 regions: the mountain paths are easy to follow; one often walks on shady white roads and old stone mule tracks.

The route is completely signposted and no technical difficulties are encountered along the way.
