A wild tsaroulet race that's as athletic as it is artistic!
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the cobblestone streets of Sembrancher (VS) will once again—for the third time—be transformed into a race track for “tsaroulets” (a local term for “soapbox cars”). The idea for this unique soapbox race came from the La Stéphania marching band, which is also in charge of organizing the event.
Come watch—or better yet, participate in—a wild tsaroulet race that’s as athletic as it is artistic!
The “tsaroulets” will race down the village streets as fast as they can, all in good spirits, to finish in front of a panel of judges who will award several prizes.
A festival area will be set up for you to grab a bite to eat and chat in a friendly atmosphere about the most daring descents.
Children will also have their own entertainment area entirely dedicated to them.
Come out in droves to challenge top-tier drivers, genius mechanics, artists, and great comedians!
