Come discover Corsican polyphonic singing!
Concert showcasing the results of a Corsican polyphony workshop
At 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Liddes
Corsican polyphony is, at its core, a form of multi-part singing by shepherds. In fact, during their time in the mountains, they sang the “Paghjelle”: secular, non-sacred songs performed a cappella, which have been listed as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2009.
