The UTMB® is a very demanding and well-known trail running event! Trail runners from all over the world come together here. Nearly 10,000 runners participate annually in Chamonix in one of the 7 races of the event.
The UTMB was held for the first time in 2003 and was organized by the Trailers du Mont Blanc. It has a route length of approx. 170 km and has 10,000 meters of elevation gain to overcome. The time limit is 46 hours. Thus, this UTMB counts among the most demanding mountain marathons in the world.
The route leads over ten climbs and around the beautiful mountain landscape of the Mont Blanc massif in Chamonix.
