This itinerary starts in Orsières, the main village of the eponymous commune. It leaves in the direction of Champex-Lac and ends in front of the chairlift.
This beautiful and very regular climb with its 6 hairpin bends allows you to gain height to better admire the Val Ferret, the Val d’Entremont and the Combins massif before reaching the charming lake resort of Champex-Lac.

Champex-Lac can also be reached by bike from the west by climbing from Bovernier. A longer, harder and more irregular fire climb than on the Orsières side!
Directions
Parquez votre voiture à la gare d’Orsières et tournez à gauche pour traverser la voie ferrée. Au village suivant de Somlaproz, tournez à droite et suivez la route cantonale jusqu’à Champex.
Getting there
Leave the highway at Martigny.
Follow the direction Grand-Saint-Bernard then leave the main road at Orsières.
You can park at the station of Orsières on the free white spaces.
