Directions
From the centre of the village of Liddes, follow the Didactic Path of the Sparrowhawks in the direction of Le Clou. Continue along the Torrent d’Aron to Erra d’en Bas then Erra d’en Haut and then take the northern route to reach the Cabane de Mille (2’473 m). The hut was renovated in 2014 and inaugurated in September 2015. Enjoy the view of the two valleys but also the specialities offered by the caretaker. You can consult and print the Guide to the Hawks’ Trail dedicated to the fauna and flora of the region or buy it at the tourist office of Liddes. A new educational trail has also been set up in the immediate vicinity of the hut: The Renewable Energy Trail.
Getting there
Exit the motorway at Martigny.
Follow the direction Grand-Saint-Bernard to Liddes.
Parking spaces are free of charge
Take the train to Orsières and then the bus to Liddes.
