Take a 45-minute hike with the Saint Bernard dogs through the magnificent mountain scenery of Champex-Lac.
As allies of the canons in rescuing travelers, the St. Bernard dogs trace their origins to the Grand St. Bernard Hospice, located at an altitude of 2,500 meters.
- Hiking time: about 45 minutes
- Distance: 2 km with 75 m of elevation gain and loss
- Participants: The number of participants is limited to 10 people per activity, divided into a maximum of 3 groups (one dog per group).
- Dogs: You will be accompanied by 3 Saint Bernards, which you can take turns walking on a leash. Private dogs are not permitted.
- Weather: Hikes take place in all weather conditions, except in the event of dangerous weather (thunderstorms, hail, severe storms, etc.).
- Route: A round-trip hike on a groomed forest trail that is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. You may bring your own sleds and/or bobsleds.
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays in January and February
Times: 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Price: Adults CHF 42.- / Children ages 4–16: CHF 21.- (this activity is not suitable for children under 4)
Conditions: Maximum 10 people per activity; children must be accompanied by an adult
