What are poisonous plants?

Discover the most fearsome plants in our gardens.

Often feared, sometimes admired for their beauty, our latitudes are home to many plants that are toxic to humans, many of them lethal.

Their sulphurous reputations are the stuff of stories and legends, some of which are true.

Spend an afternoon at the Garden in their company, learning about and, above all, recognizing aconite, belladonna, foxglove and other deadly plants. Discover also their surprising uses over the centuries.
