Cyperaceae can be quite confusing

Dive into the heart of this plant family with our experts.

Often the despair of botanists, the Cyperaceae family deserves to be better known. A very common yet very rich family, it also contains some ecologically interesting species.

Join Jean-Luc Poligné, head gardener, and Alexandra Slotte, cultural mediator, for an introduction to this family with its sometimes complicated reputation. This is your chance to learn how to identify the most common species, to understand their often underestimated ecological role, and to leave with a few herbarium plates of specimens collected at the Garden, as well as (we hope!) a renewed love for these discreet but so important plants.

Schedule: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Price: 10.00 per person

Registration open until July 11, by e-mail to alexandra.slotte@flore-alpe.ch or by telephone on 027 783 12 17.
