Anybody who is not domiciled in the municipality has to pay a tourist tax.

Tourist tax for hotels, chalets and apartments
Adult per night CHF 3.60 in Orsières and Liddes, CHF 1.80 in Bourg-St-Pierre
Annual once-off fee CHF 54.-
Annual once-off fee CHF 180.-/UPM in Orsières, CHF 108.-/UPM in Liddes and CHF 54.-/adult in Bourg-St-Pierre

Child from 6 to 16 per night: CHF 1.80 in Orsières and Liddes, 0.90 à Bourg-Saint-Pierre
Annual once-off fee CHF 27.-/child in Bourg-St-Pierre

Tourist tax for groups and huts
Adult per night CHF 2.40 in Orsières and Liddes, CHF 1.20 in Bourg-St-Pierre
Child from 6 to 16 per night: 1.20 in Orsières and Liddes, CHF 0.60 in Bourg-St-Pierre

Tourist tax for camp sites
Adult per night CHF 1.60 in Orsières and Liddes, CHF 0.80 in Bourg-St-Pierre
Child from 6 to 16 per night: 0.80 in Orsières and Liddes, CHF 0.40 in Bourg-St-Pierre

The tourist tax goes towards funding the tourist infrastructure, the tourist offices, entertainment in the resorts and the development of information brochures.

As prescribed by the law, an accommodation tax must also be paid by the landlord in the Liddes and Bourg-St-Pierre municipalities*.

Children per night (6 to 16 years old) CHF 0.25. Annual once-off fee: CHF 15.-/UPM in Liddes

Children per night (6 to 16 years old) CHF 0.125

* In the Orsières municipality (including Champex-Lac and La Fouly), the accommodation tax has been replaced with a tourist promotion tax.
