A stopping oint on the way to Italy, Bourg-St-Pierre has been visited by thousands of pilgrims and various armies – including the forces of Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte. Remnants of its past can still be seen, including one of the oldest bell towers in the canton.
One of the jewels of the area is located on the Grand-St-Bernard pass: the Grand-St-Bernard hospice. its museum, the treasures of its church and the famous saint bernard dog breeding kennels are a great attraction for all ages!
